If you can’t figure that out, stick to making 2D games. Lifting the headset just to see what button or key to press defeats the purpose. Having to relearn moving around in VR and what button does what is tiresome. If you want more people to engage in VR, you need to figure out and standardize a motor location and control scheme industry wide. You kill the point of immersion in VR with your pedantic BS. The NES and contra with the up down up down left right shit went out of style 40 years ago. I do not have the time nor the patience to learn secret button combinations to unlock game content. After 15 minutes of watching Alice move in a circle, I felt like I'm the one that caught some H in the rear by spending $40 on this crapware. but pressing every button on the controller does not give you a thumbs up. You are supposed to give her a thumbs up to smash the melon. Squeezing the grips on the Vive controllers makes pointy fingers, which she doesn't follow. Your directions is to point with both hands to tell Alice which direction to go. Let’s play a stupid melon smashing game on the beach. When will the developers start to pay attention to human factors and implement "intuitive" use interfaces? You had 5 minutes to impress me, but no. Anyone else will find a game that's light on content and would be better off waiting for a sale. Therefore I cannot recommend the game to those people. Also, those people who expect this to be like VR Kanojo with adult scenes will be totally disappointed. That said, with no R18 content planned (despite it being expected) and the fact you are paying £20+ for an hour experience with little replay value, it's not worth it. This is basic VR 101 not adhered to and a massive shame it's not in the game.ĭefinitely a more rounded package for the VR gamer compared to VR Kanojo and works well with HP Reverb G2 controllers out of the gate. If you move from the scripted point where you are placed she will continue looking where you are not. Immersion is broken the fact Alice does not look at the player at any time. The game sports nice basic visuals, with a decent character model and a fair number of outfits to choose from. However, those with roomscale can just turn with their bodies. What I do like about this is you can move around the locations with smooth movement although only snap turning is available for now. The patch adds scenes such as being able to kiss Alice, rub sun tan lotion on her, and visit her in the shower etc. Either way, it takes about an hour to play through the game the first time and then you can unlock free mode and other content like photo mode and customization. There is a PLUS+ patch available via the official website (see link in comments) which adds some new scenes which are quite tame and not considered adult in any way shape or form. It's basically an interactive VR story with little in the way of choices to deviate from the scripted path. It does also contain similar dating stuff like kissing. Well, it is far more expansive than VR Kanojo, and does offer more mini-games like frisbee throwing and volleyball, applying sun tan lotion. This is effectively VR Kanojo 2 without the adult content and after all this time (since 2018 when Illusion first showcased a trailer). WARNING: There is no R18 content for this game or planned.
